Starbucks to Close Cold-Pressed Juice Concept

Starbucks will close its Evolution Fresh concept stores in order to shed brands and stores that are not part of its coffee-centric mission. Starbucks acquired the chain for $30 million in 2011, moving into the health and wellness category with its cold-pressed juice and salad bowls. The health and wellness sector is estimated to be worth $50 billion a year.

Starbucks opened only four Evolution Fresh locations in five years. The coffee chain will continue selling bottled juices under the Evolution Fresh brand at Starbucks locations, reports ForbesFull Story
